New-Onset Diabetes after Transplantation
CME Approved Training Program

Despite the apparent high incidence of new-onset diabetes after transplantation, it is suspected that it is currently underdiagnosed. In addition to the increased risk for further complications that diabetes imposes for all patients, the development of diabetes in transplant recipients is also associated with reduced graft function and patient survival.

In providing the latest thinking on new-onset diabetes after transplantation, this CME approved program provides information about the serious consequenses of this disease. It aims to inform on current practice methods including immunosuppressive strategies, to minimize the risk for this complication and to provide management options for those patients that develop diabetes after transplantation.

This interactive program includes self-assessment questionnaires for each learning module.
  • Learning Module 1: Diabetes mellitus
  • Learning Module 2: New-onset diabetes after transplantation
  • Learning Module 3: Clinical impact of new-onset diabetes after transplantation
  • Learning Module 4: Risk factors for new-onset diabetes after transplantation
  • Learning Module 5: Role of immunosuppressive therapies on risk for new-onset diabetes after transplantation
  • Learning Module 6: Management of new-onset diabetes after transplantation
