ILTS Survey Policy

(approved by ILTS Executive Committee November 2021)

  1. Surveys submitted to ILTS for academic purposes must be approved re topic, quality and target respondents by the Secretary, who may delegate this to a member of council with appropriate expertise. Membership surveys drafted by ILTS staff to evaluate member services should be approved by the Executive.
  2. Members cannot use other members’ contact details for this purpose without permission from the Secretary.
  3. All authors / co-authors of survey-generated academic publications must be ILTS members. This may be waived for some individuals not directly involved in liver transplantation, at the discretion of the Executive (eg statistician, medical student, affiliated specialist with minimal direct involvement).
  4. The preferred distribution for approved surveys will be via link in the monthly newsletter. Only important surveys relating to ILTS policy, member satisfaction or other topics approved by the Executive will go directly to members via dedicated email.
  5. ILTS must be acknowledged in any survey-generated academic publication.
  6. The total number of surveys accepted annually may be limited, at the discretion of the Executive.
