ILTS Seeks Candidates for Council Positions
Call for Council Nominations
The ILTS Nominating Committee invites members to apply for two council positions vacant from May 2018. The term is four years, and the committee seeks individuals who have demonstrated both significant support for the society and an outstanding commitment to science, education and/or clinical practice in liver transplantation.
Any member may self-nominate using the standard Application Form but nomination by up to three other members, including a short letter of support from each, will strengthen the application. A separate Nomination Form is provided for this purpose.
The committee will assess and rank all applications and recommend at least four candidates to ILTS Council, who will vote to select the two new councilors in early 2018. Selection will take into account a member’s previous and expected future contributions to the ILTS mission and the need to represent the membership fairly, which includes consideration of specialty, geographic region, and gender.
Applications should be submitted to ILTS Headquarters at firstname.lastname@example.org, including a personal statement outlining the applicant’s previous engagement with ILTS, relevant strengths and skills, and potential contributions as a councilor. Applicants and nominating members must communicate to ensure a complete application is received.
Deadline for applications is December 31, 2017.
