Join Penn Anesthesia as an Abdominal Organ Transplant Anesthesia Fellow/Clinical Instructor!

This unique, hybrid position offers an unparalleled opportunity to train with renowned faculty boasting a combined experience of over 114 years in transplant anesthesiology. As a fellow, you will immerse yourself in a high-volume center performing over 150 liver, 230 kidney, and 20 pancreas transplants annually, with the possibility of being involved in uterus and hand transplants as well. Additional time beyond protected, educational fellow days is dedicated to supervising residents and CRNAs as a Clinical Instructor, allowing for income enhancement and honing your teaching skills in a supportive environment. 

Your fellowship journey with us will encompass a comprehensive educational experience. Fellows will receive hands-on training in transesophageal echocardiography in preparation for basic Perioperative TEE certification. Active participation in multidisciplinary selection committee and M&M meetings will enhance your decision-making skills. Finally, fellows will have the opportunity to care for critically ill transplant patients postoperatively during a dedicated ICU rotation.
