Organizer

Manhal Izzy is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a Transplant Hepatologist at Vanderbilt University Medical Centre based in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. He serves as the Vice-chair of the ILTS Education and Scholarship Committee. His research focuses on Cirrhotic Cardiomyopathy and its complications pre-and post-transplant. He is one of the founding members of the Cirrhotic Cardiomyopathy Consortium that published the revised diagnostic criteria for Cirrhotic Cardiomyopathy in 2020

 

Speakers

Vincenzo Mazzaferro is a full Professor of Surgery at the Department of Oncology of the University of Milan and Director of the Gastro-Intestinal Surgery and Liver Transplantation Unit at the Istituto Nazionale Tumori (National Cancer Institute) of Milan, Italy. He is currently in charge of the HPB oncology program in the oldest and most active comprehensive cancer institution in Italy. Through validated results and cutting-edge clinical research, he has contributed to many national and international advancements related to surgical oncology.
Geoff McCaughan is currently the AW Morrow Professor of Medicine (Gastroenterology and Hepatology) at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the University of Sydney. He is also Director of Transplant Hepatology, the GE/Liver Diagnostic Laboratory, and the Liver Immunobiology Research Laboratory Centenary Research Institute for Cancer and Cell Biology. His primary clinical interests are liver transplantation, viral hepatitis and autoimmune hepatitis.

 

Moderators

Nazia Selzner is a Transplant Hepatologist in the Multi-Organ Transplant Program, Division of Gastroenterology, University Health Network, and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Nazia Selzner is an Associate Scientist at the Institute for Medical Science (IMS) as well as at the Toronto General Research Institute (TGRI).
Alfred Kow Wei Chieh is the Assistant Dean (Education) of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at National University of Singapore and a Senior Consultant at the National University Center for Organ Transplantation, National University Health System Singapore. He is also a Senior Consultant at the Department of Surgery at the National University Hospital and a Senior Consultant at the Division of Surgical Oncology at the National University Cancer Institute (NCIS) Singapore
