Vanguard Award

- for Clinical Research – $1,500 USD
- for Basic Science Research – $1,500 USD
Vanguard Awards recognize outstanding ILTS members within five years of training* or 42 years or younger for the best papers (clinical or basic science research) published in any peer-reviewed journal during the previous calendar year. Awards for 2022 will thus recognize young members for publications from January 2021 through December 2021.
*based on initial training, excluding subsequent on-the-job training
Applications are reviewed annually by the ILTS Vanguard Committee.
Applicant requirements
- Must be an ILTS member
- Must bewithin five years of training* or 42 years or younger
- Must be the first or corresponding author of the paper
- Paper published from January through December 2021 in any peer-reviewed journal, must have a Pubmed citation
- To be considered, candidate must upload their manuscript through the ILTS website
- Previous winners are not eligible

Awardee receives
- Cash prize of $1,500 USD
- Complimentary registration to the ILTS Annual Congress of the year, including to the Vanguard Reception
